Carboxy Therapy

Carboxy therapy

Carboxy therapy is an amazing treatment for dark circles under the eyes. It is a new technology that works by injecting a small amount of carbon dioxide gas, Carbo 3000, into affected areas which increases blood flow and forms improved capillary networks for long-term healthy circulation. It is a safe, minimally invasive, clinically proven method to rejuvenate, restore, and recondition the skin.

The treatment helps with:
  • Dark circles under eyes
  • Cellulite reduction
  • Localised fat
  • Liposuction complementary solution to clear pending irregularities
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne scars and skin laxity (arms, chest, etc.)
  • Wrinkle reduction

Frequently asked questions

  • How many treatments are required? 4 – 8 treatments, spaced one week apart
  • When do results appear and how long do they last? You will notice a difference in the days following as effects are usually cumulative, with each treatment giving a better result than the one before.
  • How long does it take to recover? After the procedure, there’s no recovery time needed – you can resume normal activities immediately.
  • Does it hurt? Carboxy therapy is slightly painful. A numbing cream is generally used to diminish any discomfort from the pin-prick of the needle itself but all you’ll feel until the gas is absorbed.
  • Are there any side effects? There are minimal side effects including the potential for slight bruising at the injection site, slight pain, heaviness and crackling sensations in the treated area.

Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is the application of a chemical substance, such as glycolic acid (AHA) or salicylic acid (BHA), in order to gently exfoliate the surface of the skin. Amongst many other things, a series of peel treatments improves the appearance of superficial lines while making your skin look softer, smoother, and more radiant.

Sansaya utilises various peels specific to a patient’s skin type and skincare goal. We can tailor an effective treatment for sensitive, normal or acne-prone skin. Combining a peel program with optimal home skincare, our clients can expect a marked improvement with regards to acne, skin texture and skin radiance.

The treatment helps with:
  • Sun spot reduction
  • Sun damage
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars
  • Superficial line reduction
  • Pore opening
  • Acne breakout reduction

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I know if I need one of these treatments? If you want to economically achieve healthy skin, you may consider microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and facials. These procedures are specifically effective against sunspots, sun damage, enlarged pores, and acne scars, and work well on skin that is dry, aged, or oily. All our procedures are suitable for all skin types, including tanned and skin of colour. Women who are pregnant should not have a medical facial. Pregnant women may have chemical peels that contain only glycolic acid.
  • How do these treatments work? First your skin is cleansed and then the chemical peel is applied in a thin layer. The peel is left on for five minutes or more, during which you may feel a burning sensation. This discomfort is minimised by a stream of cold air during treatment.
  • What benefits can I expect? After a series of treatments you can expect improvement in overall appearance as well as in sunspots, sun damage, enlarged pores, acne scars, and dryness. Your skin will also look less aged and oily. We recommend three sessions two weeks or a month apart and maintenance treatments every four to 12 weeks. You will notice improvement after each treatment.
  • What are the risks and side effects? Downtime, flaking, peeling, and redness are minimal with the peels used by Sansaya. Slight redness, skin sensitivity, and skin tightness usually persist no longer than a day. Flaking and irritation may occasionally remain for up to five days. Your skin will feel smoother and softer and you may feel slight stinging, burning, or itching during this time. With other types of chemical and laser peels, side effects may persist up to two weeks. Prior to treatment all potential risks and side effects will be discussed with you by our specialist.
  • How will I look and feel during and after the treatment? After a treatment, the skin is cleansed and sunscreen is applied. Your skin will usually look and feel normal immediately after a mild chemical peel. Occasionally, one’s skin may be slightly red or it may peel for one to two days and, rarely, sometimes as much as five days after a chemical peel treatment. Skin may also feel tighter and smoother with a little stinging or itching. During this time you can care for your skin with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. We also recommend regular use of sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) with zinc oxide as an active ingredient and avoiding prolonged sun exposure.
  • Are there other ways to get the same effect? Yes. Laser photorejuvenation or resurfacing, topical skincare products, camouflage makeup, and other types of microdermabrasion are alternatives. Laser treatments produce better results but are more expensive and have more potential side effects.
  • Can this be combined with other treatments? Yes. HydraFacial MD, chemical peels, and facials can each be combined with other treatments we offer.
  • What are the costs of chemical peels? Treatments are available alone or in packages at a reduced fee.

Deep-cleansing Facial

Deep-cleansing Facial

This treatment is most beneficial for teenagers or those who have congested skin with clogged pores and acne. Acne occurs in most teenagers and may continue into adulthood. People visit a dermatologist more often for acne than for any other skin condition. Whiteheads, blackheads, and other acne lesions are due to clogged skin pores, most frequently on your face, neck, chest, arms, and/or back.

The treatment helps with:
  • Acne reduction
  • Pore opening
  • Whitehead and blackhead removal
  • Skin redness and inflammation
  • Nodule or cyst prevention

Frequently asked questions

  • Am I a candidate for a deep-cleansing facial? How acne is treated depends on how severe it is. One option for mild to moderate cases would be medicine applied topically onto your skin, taken by mouth, or both. Another option would be an advanced, deep-cleansing facial which contains ingredients that help your skin become healthy more quickly. Chemical peels and HydraFacial MD® improve skin tone, texture, and radiance as well as treat acne. When acne is more severe, oral Accutane may be prescribed.
  • Which areas can I treat? The treatment is safe for the face, the neck, the chest, the arms, and the back.
